KINGSWOOD BAPTIST CHURCH - The leadership
|
The Leadership of the church is the Ministers,
Elders and Deacons together. They meet
together, not less than three times a year, in order
to enable the envisioning and smooth functioning
of the church.
Elders:
The church appoints Elders to oversee the life of
the church. They are responsible to God for the
ongoing wellbeing of the body (the people). Their
primary role is spiritual oversight but they are
also required to ensure that the practicalities of
being a church are taken care of.
Elders are appointed by the church membership
as a whole, on the recommendation of leadership.
The lead Elders are the Ministers of the church.
Ministry Teams
The Ministry of the church has been divided into
the following sections with a separate Ministry
Team meeting to enable each area of Ministry:
Administration and Finance, Pastoral Care,
Evangelism, Social Action, Children and Youth,
World Mission, Fabric, Teaching and Training,
Public Worship.
All activities of the church come under the
oversight of one of these Ministry Teams or the
Elders directly.
Deacons:
The church appoints a leader for each Ministry
Team and these leaders are our Deacons. Each
Deacon is responsible for leading their team in
promoting and enabling that specific area of
ministry.
The Deacons work in consultation with each
other and in close relationship with the Elders.
