Many people do not understand what a Christian really is. Some think that if we are British we must be Christian.
Some think that if we live a good life we are Christian. Some think that all you have to do is go to church.
Confusion reigns. So let's go for the short and simple explanation!
So what is a Christian?
A Christian believes in a creator
God who made us and loves us.
A Christian realises that our sin
(wrongdoing) has separated us from God.
A Christian believes that God loves us so much that
He came to us in the person of His Son Jesus.
A Christian believes that when Jesus died
on the cross He took the punishment for all
our sin.
A Christian has discovered that anyone who turns from
their own way and puts their trust in Jesus Christ, asking
Him to be Lord of their lives is forgiven and accepted fully
by God.
